The date on which Tokyo’s courts will investigate claims from Mt. Gox’s creditors has been pushed back to September of 2015.
The decision comes about as a result of the Tokyo District Court 20th Civil Division’s order to change the period for filing proofs of claims. As a result, the date of investigations had to be pushed back as well, according to the latest announcement on what’s left of Mt. Gox’s website.
The original date for filing proofs of claims was November 28th of this year, and the date of investigation was February 25th, 2015. But the filing date has been pushe back to May 29th, 2015, and the investigation date pushed to September 9th, 2015.
While this does give Mt. Gox‘s creditors more time to file their claims, it also means the time for them to receive any sort of news on their funds and how much, if at all, they will be reimbursed.
The Mt. Gox saga continues to roll out, and continues to be a source of incredible frustration for those wrapped up in it. The CoinFront will continue to report on this story as it unfolds.
