The Dogecoin patent wars continue.
The Dogecoin Foundation, acting as a representative for the Dogecoin community, has filed a request to extend the amount of time available to register opposition with the trademark of Doge.
The trademark, filed by UltraPRO in June, led to an argument between Moolah CEO Alex Green and Dogecoin co-founder Jackson Palmer which culminated in Palmer stepping away from the Dogecoin community.
The issue seemed resolved, however, when UltraPRO announced they would “offer royalty-free rights to use it [Doge] to vendors”, and that they simply wanted to protect their own rights to market Doge-related products.
However, The Dogecoin Foundation seems to disagree.
The new requested deadline for opposition is September 6th.
