The Apache Software Foundation has announced it is now accepting Bitcoin donations.
The group has been responsible for over 200 open-source projects, helping to get them off the ground, establish intellectual property rights, and secure funding.
Apache is perhaps best known for their OpenOffice suite, an open source alternative to Microsoft Office which includes equivalents of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, and more.
The program is free to download from their official website, and has been downloaded over 100 million times.
