Coinbase Expands, Is Now Available In 19 Countries - From The CoinFront

Coinbase has added several new countries to its services.

Last month, the company added thirteen new European countries to its service: Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Cyprus, Finland, Greece, Latvia, Malta, Portugal, and Slovakia.

As of this week, the company has added five new countries to that list: Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, and Poland.

Ramifications

Businesses and individuals in these 18 countries, plus the United States, now have access to Coinbase’s resources. That means they can buy and sell Bitcoin through Coinbase using a bank account which holds euros.

The European launch is in beta phase, and they plan on keeping the daily trading limit low as a result. But it isn’t a closed beta; anyone from the above countries can now use Coinbase.

However, many are still unable to access Coinbase’s services, including popular Bitcoin destinations like Canada. If you live in an area where Coinbase is not yet serving, you can sign up for their mailing list to be informed of when your country begins accepting Coinbase services. To do so, click here.

Coinbase’s payment processing program has been responsible for some of the biggest Bitcoin merchant conversions, including Overstock, Dell, and Expedia.
