The BTC2B congress in Brussels is coming up soon, launching on the 16th of October.
Originally, tickets for this event were €310 for each day, or you could purchase a two-day ticket for €360. A respectable price for an event with such potential, but certainly outside the budget of the some bitcoiners.
“It was against our idea of having a friendly atmosphere and [making] our events accessible to everryone,” said a representative of the organizational team. “Every Bitcoin conference has a high ticket price, which goes against the philosophy of Bitcoin.”
But BTC2B has recently signed a new partnership which allows them to massively lower the price for their event. Tickets are on sale now for just €99.
Their new partner is Transactioncoin, a p2p cryptocurrency with two different hashing algorithms, sha256 and scrypt. “Thanks to a great cooperation with Transactioncoin, we’ll be able to reduce [ticket] prices and make it available to the people that normally wouldn’t be able to pay that amount of money.”
Of course, BTC2B is still featuring the same lineup of guest speakers, including Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin, BitPay’s Moe Levin, and many others.
